We are looking for a Director IT Sourcing & Procurement

In this role, you will evaluate current and potential sourcing opportunities and vendor relationships by assessing their strategic relevance and value according to VFS’ Digital Solutions & IT long-term goals, overall business objectives and solution lifecycle. You will enhance vendor performance and delivery, from strategy to evaluation and selection, contract development and management, and, ultimately, measuring total cost of ownership and return on investment.
The location for this position is ideally in Brussels.
In order to accomplish your new responsibilities, you will:
· Define and implement the VFS Digital Solutions & IT sourcing and purchasing strategic framework;
· Build the sourcing and procurement business case thru a strategic approach, to drive a predictable and reliable return on investment;
· Build a Service Level Agreement framework, determine service level requirements and define metrics to evaluate service delivery;
· Identify and promote sourcing synergies across the globe;
· Identify qualified vendors that will anchor the successful delivery of VFS’ technology initiatives and partner with Volvo Group Purchasing when appropriate;
· Develop, implement and maintain, according to Volvo Group Policies, the necessary terms, conditions and service-level agreements, contracts, purchasing tools and vendor management strategies and recommend modifications to accommodate regulatory, legislative or industry changes;
· Establish and manage a controlled environment that ensures effective and efficient processes;
· Participate on all major projects as a Core Team Member, by developing the strategy for sourcing, supplier selection, total cost of ownership evaluation, negotiation, contract development, and selection of the appropriate purchasing tools in alignment with requesting stakeholders;
· Conduct successful renegotiations and vendor transitions in the ever-changing IT services and solutions marketplace, where vendor flexibility is the key to seamless operations;
· Interact with various functions of VFS to ensure the vendor service delivery organizations are effectively meeting the needs of the business units;
· Provide leadership in developing key, long-term supply contracts to achieve continuous improvement.
· Manage relationships with strategic vendors to ensure value realization;
· Manage contracts to ensure that cost, service and quality requirements are met thru effective monitoring of vendor performance, metrics/KPI reporting; service review meetings and initiate remedial actions thru service improvement plans if required.
· Ensure the development and review of market intelligence and work with Peers and Advisory Service Organizations to stay updated with industry trends and changes;
· Develop thorough understanding of the current technology, licensing, pricing, distribution, service, and contracting models within each specific area of VFS Digital Solutions & IT Portfolio;
· Ensure compliance with Volvo Group’s Purchasing Ethics, Purchasing Policies and Corporate Standards, values, audit rules, laws, and other regulations.
WHO YOU ARE
In order to be successful in this role, you provide:
· University degree in Business Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or Computer Science (an MBA is a plus !)
· Minimum 8-10 years of proven experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement and Vendor relationship Management, ideally in Financial Services or related field
· Experience with a multi-national or international working environment
· Proven project management and ability to manage multiple projects to deliver the desired outcome
Excellent business and IT knowledge and good understanding of financial services industry
Strong understanding of contract language terms and conditions, as well as contract drafting from the company's templates and supplier agreements
