As Director of Software Engineerng for Venues, you will be leading and managing teams of highly skilled engineers, architects and product people within the Venues team. Your role is to actively:
Build, lead, mentor and direct a lean, effective and world-class organization for developing and delivering our map content, tooling, platform, SDKs, and appplications for use with both partners and customers.
Build a scalable organization, which can deliver constantly to a challenging and demanding customer base
Lead the Venues product and technology strategy as well as product roadmap definition and execution in close alignment with internal and external stakeholders
Lead the Venues compiler development, operations and execution of product and customer programs
Lead the outsourcing planning and execution for customer programs
Work closely with cross-team stakeholders across the HERE organization
Conduct financial planning and budgeting for your team
Provide thought leadership, career development guidance and outstanding mentorship to team members
Performance management (goal setting, high-quality feedback conversations)
Who are you?
Who Are You?
MSc or Bsc in computer science, computer engineering, electronics (or equivalent)
20+ years of experience in software engineering in software architecture, design and development and delivering high quality products.
15+ years of experience in managing software engineering teams including budget management
Proven track record in enabling platforms and ecosystem, ranging from initial customer engagements through entire product delivery lifecycle including maintenance in various management roles, e.g. program management, engineering management
Excellent in GIS and GIS related technologies
Excellent in product strategies and product management
Excellent in program management
Excellent in dealing with external customers/partners
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Fluency in English is mandatory.
Excellent skills in communication and messaging, relationship building and networking for appropriate interaction across all management levels.
Demonstrated ability to influence others and negotiation capabilities to achieve a preferred business scenario
Sense of urgency, pragmatism and a solution-oriented approach to problem solving
