Sr. Director Channel Marketing NetApp Sunnyvale

The Sr. Director of Marketing is a global role that drives the overall marketing strategy and execution for the NetApp global channel. This role will work closely with Product Marketing and Sales to identify, implement and measure leading channel enablement programs that attract key partners, and helps our channel organization to effectively market and sell the NetApp portfolio. Additionally, this role will develop a governance process, identifying and measuring metrics to determine outcomes and work to continually improve channel performance.
This is a strategic role that will work across the entire NetApp organization to drive effective collaboration and communication. Strong influence and communication skills will be critical to work with our leadership team and effectively drive positive results. Also, this role will require building relationships with our channel partners to help identify partner needs and drive key communication.

Key responsibilities for this role include:
• Design, enablement, execution, and measurement of channel marketing activities
• Provide management oversight to your team to drive strategy and goal attainment
• Setup and management of a strong collaborative process for Channel Marketing and the entire Marketing and Sales Channel organization to drive communication and key program approvals with senior leadership
• Work across the Marketing, Product Operations, and Field teams to identify and drive key channel programs that result in greater reach and customer acquisition for NetApp
• Identify metrics and drive regular communication on progress for the Channel Marketing and Marketing organization
• Work with other Marketing and Sales leaders to develop business and financial goals with regular communication on progress
• Identify tools or capabilities needed to increase channel impact and performance
• Understand the right mix of programs, incentives and offers that help drive to a revenue objective
• Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure departmental goals are met
• Assume responsibility for result, including costs, methods and staffing
Job Requirements Requirements:
• 10+ years Product and Channel Marketing experience
• Experience leading channel marketing including product promotions and campaigns for a portfolio solution company
• Experience in storage and software
• Experience with cloud technologies and as a service offerings a plus
• Experience in leading teams and driving channel marketing activities and outcomes
• Experience working with and influencing cross functional teams
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including presentation skills.
• Excellent relationship building and negotiating skills.
Education and Experience Education and Experience:
• A Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree is required, or equivalent experience
• MBA preferred
• Prior experience in a Global Enterprise High Tech company as a leader of a channel marketing focused position.
• Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, extremely complex technical projects.
