As the Director of Security Solutions Engineering team, you will build, lead, and develop a team of Security Solution Architects, bringing experience and thought leadership to help set vision, mission, and strategy. You will develop new solution initiatives and the materials to support them. Working cross-functionally across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales teams, you will help define security solutions and a strategy for their growth.
In this role, you will showcase thought leadership by identifying and parsing industry trends in Cloud computing to recommend, plan for, and address core market opportunities with new Security solutions. You will ensure technical and commercial readiness of these solutions, including assets to enable the go-to-market teams, and provide field feedback to the Product and Engineering teams to help shape product direction. Finally, you will set key performance indicators (KPI) and measurements for solutions adoption, recommending ways to adapt as the market and customer needs change. The Solutions Engineering organization in Google Cloud drives the definition, business development, asset creation, enablement, and rollout of horizontal and vertical solutions. Responsibilities Build, lead, and inspire a distributed organization of enterprise solutions specialists. Set a data-driven vision and direction for Security Solutions Definition and their Commercialization at Google Cloud. Partner closely with Engineering directors, Product leaders, Sales strategy, and executive leadership to ensure solutions alignment with Engineering, Product, and Go-To-Market (GTM) priorities. Lead other solutions groups to accelerate opportunities by streamlining processes, identifying tooling efficiencies, simplifying execution, managing objectives and key results (OKRs), and releasing on time. Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events up to 30% of the time. Minimum qualifications: 15 years of experience managing technical projects within the Infrastructure and Cloud domains. 10 years of customer-facing experience in the enterprise space, translating customer needs into solutions. Experience in audit, compliance, risk, and security infrastructures and industry best practices. Preferred qualifications: 7 years of experience leading and managing a team to thrive in ambiguity in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment. 5 years of experience in strategy and business development. Knowledge of Security related matters as they relate to enterprise data center architectures. Ability to collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and import and export talent and ideas to achieve a broader organizational goal. Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space.
