As the Director of the Productivity and Collaboration Solutions Engineering team, you will build, lead, and develop a team of Solution Architects, bringing experience and thought leadership to help set vision, mission, and strategy. You will develop new solution initiatives and the materials to support them with a broad cross-functional group of stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales teams, to help define infrastructure solutions and their growth strategy for the Productivity and Collaboration business at Google Cloud.
You will showcase thought leadership by identifying and parsing industry trends in Cloud computing to recommend, plan for, and address core market opportunities with new solutions. You will ensure technical and commercial readiness of these solutions, including assets to enable the go-to-market teams, and provide field feedback to the Product and Engineering teams to help shape product direction. Finally, you will set key performance indicators (KPI) and measurements for solutions adoption, and recommend ways to adapt as the market and customer needs change. The Solutions Engineering organization in Google Cloud drives the definition, business development, asset creation, enablement, and rollout of horizontal and industry solutions. Responsibilities Build, lead, and inspire a distributed organization of enterprise solutions specialists. Set a data-driven vision and direction for Productivity and Collaboration Solutions Definition and Commercialization at Google Cloud. Partner closely with Engineering directors, Product leaders, Sales strategy, and executive leadership to ensure solutions alignment with Engineering, Product,, and Go-To-Market (GTM) priorities. Lead other solutions groups to accelerate opportunities by streamlining processes, identifying tooling efficiencies, simplifying execution, managing objectives and key results (OKRs), and releasing on time. Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events up to 30% of the time. Minimum qualifications: 15 years of experience managing technical projects within the Productivity, Collaboration, and Cloud domains. 10 years of customer-facing experience in the enterprise space, translating customer needs into solutions. Preferred qualifications: 5 years of experience in strategy and business development. 7 years of experience leading and managing a team to thrive in ambiguity and a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment. Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space. Knowledge of productivity and collaboration best practices and the tools, solutions, and approaches deployed in medium and large enterprises. Ability to deliver a polished and professional business and technical presentations to the C-Suite and Board level. Effective presentation skills.
