Paperless Post is seeking a seasoned and enthusiastic Editorial & Content Director to lead our storytelling across all channels and evolve the way we communicate with our over 100 million users (and growing!). You will define Paperless Post’s editorial and content strategy across all products and platforms (site, mobile, social, and external media) and will be instrumental in cultivating and expanding our engagement and reach. The Editorial & Content Director will occupy a leadership role within the Brand team and will report to the Head of Brand Strategy & Communications.
What you’ll do here
Develop and execute Paperless Post’s editorial strategy and direction, content strategy and creation, and editorial calendar
Oversee the development of editorial content for the brand (blog, email, social, SEO, display, press) as well as copy for marketing and merchandising
Actively engage cross-functionally to establish, maintain, and foster close working relationships with stakeholders
Supervise and enhance social media content development as a component of a broader content strategy across current and emerging platforms
Oversee and evolve the Paperless Post voice and personality across all owned channels and external brand touchpoints
Leverage data and insights to set goals, measure success, and continually refine content strategy
Manage and develop a team of 3 direct reports (1 manager, 2 copywriters), and oversee workflow and growth of the team. As a manager, you will actively develop talent, fostering a culture of creative excellence and collaborative spirit
What you bring to the table
7+ years experience in a digital publishing environment, with a proven ability to generate original ideas and develop successful online content
Experience developing and executing a lifestyle editorial strategy, and an understanding of what makes content engaging and successful across multiple channels and for different audiences
Familiarity with incorporating branded or partnership content into existing platforms to drive business value
Excellent writing skills, a curatorial eye, and the ability to tailor messaging for different channels -- press releases, display ads, and SEO copy will all cross your desk
Experience working with designers and cross-functional teams required
Strong familiarity with web publishing and social media tools and technologies, and the KPIs used to drive decisions around them
Demonstrated experience managing, developing, and leading teams
