Director Product Marketing Retirement Prudential Newark

Job Description
This position reports to the Vice President of Product Marketing for Prudential Investments Mutual Funds and is focused on marketing investment solutions and programs for Prudential Investments’ Investment Only Defined Contribution (IODC) business. The Retirement Product Marketing Director is responsible for developing content, tools and programs that address the retirement challenges facing advisors and plan sponsors, and in doing so help to differentiate the Prudential Investments’ Retirement Investment Solutions (RIS) team in the marketplace. This role is also responsible for creating and executing marketing campaigns to support the Prudential Day One target date funds.

Responsibilities include:

Conceptualize and create messaging and programs focused on key retirement topics to increase share of wallet and to raise awareness of our capabilities among advisors, consultants and plan sponsors
Partner with Sales and Product to develop, manage and execute integrated marketing plans targeted to advisors and consultants to promote products and services leveraging a variety of media including, but not limited to: marketing materials, advertising, public relations, web/e-media, social media, research/strategic analysis, and thought leadership papers
Gather, review and analyze trends and competitor positioning in the retirement marketplace to help inform and ideate
Develop well-thought-out creative briefs that provide clear visual and written direction and project scope for Editorial, Design, Digital Marketing and Production
Lead all aspects of initiative development including stakeholder meetings to determine needs
Collaborate with Digital Marketing to identify and analyze key metrics to measure marketing program success
Establish strong working relationships with key business partners such as the Retirement Investment Solutions Team, Marketing, Product Management, Legal and Marketing Review
Collaborate with marketing and business leaders at Prudential Retirement to support and execute the marketing plan for the Prudential Day One Funds

Desired Skills and Experience

10+ years of experience in retirement or investment marketing; strong preference for prior experience positioning and marketing target date funds, mutual funds and other vehicle structures as solutions for defined contribution plans
Experienced marketer with in-depth knowledge of the retirement marketplace and competitive landscape
Proven ability to conceptualize and develop content around a product offering targeted to retirement advisors and plan consultants
FINRA Series 6 or 7, or significant capital markets experience and knowledge required
Bachelors degree required
Ability to apply traditional as well as new and unique marketing approaches
Demonstrated team leadership skills with the ability to build cooperative working relationships combined with the ability to take ownership and drive results
Strong written and oral communication skills
An independent, self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Previous experience working in a sales-driven, multi-channel, distribution environment
Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, WORD and Excel
Experience using Morningstar Direct /Essentials preferred
