In this role, you’ll demonstrate an understanding of what it takes to continually advance an organization, grow a business, and change the world. Additionally, you’ll drive work by partnering with our business leaders, helping them build their organizations while making sure all decisions are based on data and deep people insights.
Whether coaching your clients on how to lead their teams, navigating and resolving employee relations issues, or managing programs that help develop our Googlers, you’ll focus on solving for Google, putting our people first, and being as transparent as possible to help Googlers understand how decisions get made. You will lead a global team of People Partners and work closely with a cross-functional group of subject-matter experts to design and execute on multiple strategies from staffing, onboarding, and compensation to diversity and inclusion and talent development. You are comfortable representing business challenges and opportunities back to peer groups and senior leaders of the client team. As an HR Leader for our Google Cloud business, you'll be a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team, and support the incredible growth and transformation across Google Cloud. This will require you to understand the business and be a thought leader on People and Organizational topics. You'll need to think big, use data to guide your work, and be comfortable with challenging convention. Responsibilities Consult with executive business leaders to create a comprehensive people plan to drive business strategies and outcomes and offer thought leadership regarding people-related strategy and execution. Solve problems and get to the root cause of any issue, design and quickly implement solutions that cut across multiple disciplines, and ensure that Google is compliant on all local employment laws. Provide expertise in the following areas: organizational effectiveness, leadership effectiveness, performance management, executive coaching, data analysis, compensation and rewards, employee relations, learning and development, recognition programs, and strategic development. Manage and develop a team of People Partners. Work in partnership with peers in People Operations, including People Development, Staffing, Diversity and Inclusion, Compensation and Benefits and People Services Operations, to provide valuable support, programs and developmental offerings to Googlers in your client group. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 15 years of HR Business Partner/Senior Manager experience. Preferred qualifications: 15 years of experience in senior HR leadership roles setting strategy, designing and executing people programs of global scope, and building effective teams. Experience working with highly technical populations within Enterprise and Cloud-focused organizations. Ability to manage a complex set of stakeholders and advocate change through influence rather than authority. Ability to analyze data, understand trends, and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis and first principles thinker.
