Job Description
The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the digital marketing strategies that achieve customer acquisition objectives. Leads the effort to drive down cost of new customer acquisition through world-class digital marketing in concert with other forms of media and marketing. Develops a differentiated sustainable online presence for new direct bank by leveraging defined value proposition and financial strength of MUFG Union Bank, a deep understanding of consumers and the role financial services play in their lives. Responsibilities include digital advertising, search engine marketing, email, search engine optimization, mobile marketing, and social media. Manages agency and strategic partnerships to execute digital strategy and roadmap. Manages digital media budget and develops metrics to learn where the bank can realize ROI. Major responsibilities include:
Digital marketing responsible for online acquisition (including email), social media, and bank-owned web properties. Develops standards and practices for effective online marketing programs. Complete responsibility for strategic, financial and operations aspects of digital marketing activities.
Collaborates with channel product manager in development and continuous improvement of content management function for the public space (and selected sections of the authenticated space).
In charge of planning and advocating for enhanced digital marketing capabilities and responsible for working closely with the e-Channels leadership to ensure marketing needs are taken into account during planning processes.
Oversees the strategy, roadmap, and operations of the new direct bank’s social media.
Responsible for the planning, buying, and optimization of the bank’s paid digital media, including display advertising, mobile advertising and paid search. Ensures that all content and marketing messages meet full compliance in accordance to bank and regulatory policies.
Manages digital agency relationship.
Develops metrics and standard reporting to understand channel performance and enable successful bank audits on the public web site by Corporate Compliance and regulators.
Uses digital analytics to make actionable performance improvement recommendations to maximize ROI.
May manage a team of analysts or marketing managers.
Education/Certification
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, or related fields is required.
MBA is preferred.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of web content management processes and workflows.
Strong fundamental knowledge of online metrics and campaign performance analytics.
Prior experience interacting and managing 3rd party digital agencies and vendors.
Strong, clear, and compelling communications skills that engenders support and enthusiasm.
Excellent project management skills, which are required to plan and deliver new channel capabilities.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Ability to think ‘outside of the box’ to solve complex problems and improve processes.
Experience
15+ years of relevant experience, focusing on strategic use of the internet as a brand building vehicle, online marketing, advertising, and online acquisition and retention. '

Proven track record of success in developing, championing and stewarding fully integrated branded programs.
High degree of business acumen, mental fortitude, and resilience.
Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire teams and effect change.
