Director Business Development Radius Product Development Jabil Clinton

Job Description
The role is a senior management level position within the firm reporting to the Managing Director, Radius Boston, with a dotted line to the Vice President, Business Development to ensure full support of the practice lead development initiative. The role, in its early iteration, will consist of approximately 70% business development activities (identifying and realizing customer opportunities, strengthening relationships, and optimizing the Radius response and follow-through) and 30% thought and business leadership (formulating growth strategies, developing personnel and process capabilities, promoting Radius within the industry). The Healthcare Business Lead will work with minimal supervision and has wide latitude in initiating business development activities and taking independent action but does need to operate within the established protocols and core values of the firm. Will need to interface synergistically with all management and staff to assure the global and departmental coordination for efficient operations and client facing functions. Because of the critical importance of design and engineering excellence to the firm’s success, product development leadership performance of this position will have a major impact on the company’s profitability and reputation in the industry.

Because of the evolving nature of the product development industry and the requirement for leading edge technologies and techniques, it will be essential for this role to maintain an ongoing level of expertise in a broad range of methodologies in order to provide and recommend appropriate consulting service. As a consequence, continuous learning and awareness of the very latest design, engineering, and implementation methodologies will be essential to ensure that skills are kept up to date and maximum value is gained from emerging technologies.



Essential Duties
Identify and cultivate business opportunities, respond to customer requirements, and help craft insightful, high-quality responses, increasing our likelihood of gaining business.
Support key global business development efforts by providing key expertise, support, and selling strategies across the Healthcare segment.
Lead the global team in defining and maintaining “world class” standards for its Healthcare consulting practice, product development, quality, agency compliance, and program management competencies
Work with Radius site teams to develop industry best practices while building a collective vision for a vigorous Radius push into the health care industry
Perform in a key leadership and liaison role for the continued improvement and strengthening of the Nypro Healthcare organization
Assist the Clinton, Chicago, and San Jose Offices in developing and deepening our relationships with key Healthcare accounts.
Work with China teams to establish foundational health care best practices in preparation of Healthcare growth into market
Maintain strong lines of communication across the organization and Nypro/Jabil
Assist in the identifying, managing, and supporting, all product development and manufacturing opportunities with Nypro/Jabil.
Reinforce and maintain the integrated “innovation and design for manufacturability” value proposition within the firm.
Promoting product development excellence to secure meaningful competitive advantages for the company and the product that it develops.
Establishing a focused and committed attitude towards identifying and managing the risk aspects in all Product Development efforts to support our company goal of building a reputation for practical and reliable “real world” engineering application.
Establishing and maintaining a group philosophy for impeccable follow-up and robust program management by setting the example and ensuring that all meeting notes, action items, and required follow through is executed in a timely manner.
Participation in the formulation of corporate global strategies, goals, and objectives.



Skills

This role requires an individual who demonstrates flexibility in the consulting subject matter in which they wish to operate and yet has a polished, not over-bearing, delivery style. More specifically, the candidate will have the following underlying skills:


The identification of client needs and the strategic provision of company services to the client by building a long- term open, trusting and mutually beneficial relationship.
The timely preparation of accurate well planned program proposals and estimates
Ensuring that all communication with the client is of the highest quality.
The production of quality proposals to address the identified, qualified and specific needs of the client. This task is undertaken with reference to other managers within the consultancy to ensure business and technical feasibility, the availability of resources, and the estimates of cost and timescales are achievable.
