Job Description
The highest-level underwriter designation within the underwriting team. Underwrite and review submitted files to analyze for Capacity Capital Character and Condition. This includes ensuring that loan requests meet program and product specifications or counteroffer to a different product and/or program when appropriate. Communicate decisions (approval kickback denial) to appropriate individuals within the company uphold fair lending practices of the company meet targets for productivity quality and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include one or several types of mortgage lending. May respond to individual and investor audits. Work with staff and management to find solutions on escalated loans. May be requested to make recommendations for improving Internal Audit’s policies and practices. Has advanced knowledge of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac underwriting and appraisal guidelines.
Thorough knowledge of complex personal and business financial analysis and an expertise in tax return and balance sheet analysis including cash flow. Thorough knowledge of MI policies. Requires knowledge and proficiency in Government Agency and Jumbo levels of mortgage underwriting including Super Jumbo.
