Samsung KNOX is looking for a Director of Engineering to lead the development of its next-generation KNOX security platform.
As a Director, you will be leading a group of development teams comprising of Android framework, SE Android, MDM, and Mobile networking. These engineering teams continuously enable Samsung’s Enterprise business, to provide richer enterprise solutions on Samsung KNOX enabled devices. You will manage and mentor talented engineers with strong technical skills, work with global leaders on Enterprise software solutions, and influence the direction of Samsung KNOX.
The successful candidate will have deep technical skills in software engineering; experience as an architect, and experience in managing large development teams. The candidate will be passionate about technology and always have the customer’s best interest in mind.
Responsibilities Include:
Lead the KNOX engineering development teams
Able to create an innovative vision for new technologies by understanding market trends and business opportunities
Work closely with product management to deliver a go-to-market solution for every KNOX release
Successful analysis and execution of technical strategies with unparalleled ability to create value-added solutions
Work closely with other senior engineering leads in the planning and execution of development plans
Build an environment where continuous improvement of the development process is the focus, to enable delivery of deliver quality software
Provide deep technical guidance to engineering team as required
Provide direction to direct reports in the performance of their duties and establishing work priorities to deliver a quality product on time
Should be proficient in prioritization and skilled in resolving urgent tasks by taking effective action with a commitment to excellence
Develop devotion and commitment in others by articulating a vision for the future, and setting an example in one’s own behavior
Experience Requirements:
12+ years of software development experiences
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
Proven hands-on experience in software development in a professional environment is required
Deep understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and various Software Development methodologies is required
Proven hands-on experience in Security or Enterprise software
Demonstrated strong track record in leading software development activities is required

Passion to work in a fast-paced environment, delivering products with tight deadlines in a timely fashion
Strong communication skills by listening and negotiating along with the ability to convey message in a clear and compelling manner
Nice to Have:
End-to-End development experience
Experience in Mobility is a plus
Strong knowledge of OS design and implementation is a plus
Knowledgeable in Android stack , Linux, or any OS platforms
