Senior Director - BI/DW Practice - Wipro - California

Job description
-Showcase deep understanding of Data Warehousing /Business Intelligence, Domain understanding of Telecommunications & Media -Lead initial sales effort with Vertical/ GTM teams/ Business Development Managers;
- Understand requirements from RFP/Customer meetings and provide optimal solution, sizing & estimate for the same -
-Responsible for creating or selecting the most appropriate architecture and technology stack after thorough interaction with OEMs, Customer & Internal stakeholders
-Interact with CXO and Sr. Management of customer and build trust in our technical capabilities; Interact with partners and vendors for product and solution evaluation ;Interact with internal LOBs and Product teams on optimization of Bill of Material ;Interact with Delivery teams on efforts vetting
-Own the pre-sales cycles end-to-end from RFP to Proposal, Presentation and supporting sales team in commercials discussion. Be single point of contact for practice
- Should be willing to take up travel both long term / short term travel.
Desired Skills and Experience
Good overall 12+years of IT experience and 8+ years delivery management experience in Data warehousing & Business Intelligence, Master Data Management / Information Life Cycle management
-Should have managed at least 3 to 4 large Data warehousing projects in Telecommunications / Media using best of the breed technologies like Teradata, Netezza, Informatica, Business Objects, Hyperion; Knowledge of Hadoop Big data, SAS Analytics etc.-
-Prior presales experience will be highly preferred –
-Experience in leading-edge techniques applicable to DW Architecture, system environments and Data warehouse planning -Experience in interacting with domain experts to understand external business factors and design new strategies on how they can be addressed by applying DWH/BI/Analytics
- Ability to link business issues with technical solutions
-Support development of engagement strategy, including statement of work development, Budget, Resource Planning and risk assessments  Should possess extensive working knowledge and acumen in the employment enterprise architecture best practices, including, but not limited to, logical and physical data architectures, operating systems, applications, data base servers, ETL / OLAP servers, server consolidation, server network and storage performance, capacity planning.
