DPReview.com is seeking a talented, passionate Senior Designer to work on our growing portfolio of web and mobile platforms. This designer will be responsible for designing the UI architecture, interaction flow, and aesthetics of our current and new products. We're looking for a designer to create elegant, intuitive user interfaces focused on providing the best possible user experience to a highly-engaged and passionate audience of photographers and photo technology enthusiasts. You will have a significant impact on the creative direction of our site design and in the creation and launch of new content and community products.
It goes without saying you’ll have a portfolio of visual design that will wow us, but you’ll also be a visionary who can work closely with product management, engineering and company leaders to translate business needs into fantastic customer-focused solutions. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open and collaborative peer environment.

Responsibilities:
Lead the design, UI architecture, interface, and interaction flow of useful, usable, and desirable web and on-device content and community products.
Create user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, and usability findings
Art direct or design the visual design of the web and software applications
Use business requirements and market research to assist in developing use cases, high-level requirements
Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, and prototypes
Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications
Present design work to the engineering team, product team, and DPReview.com / Amazon.com executives for review and feedback

5+ years of experience as a UX/UI designer, web designer, or similar role
A portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating user-centered design solutions for web and mobile plaforms.
Experience designing for the web and web based devices
Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or 6+ years equivalent professional experience
Experience with a variety of design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks and Axure.
A portfolio showing your experience with user-centered design solutions
Expert with practical experience in responsive design techniques for web UI applications, ideally on large-scale consumer websites.
Visual design expertise demonstrated through mockups and style guides
Ability to prototype in HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
Fluency in best practices for web-based information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques
