Reporting into WW Channel and Device Marketing, this is a highly innovative role critical to achieving the Microsoft wide Consumer and Device Sales (CDS) mission to create product desire through an end to end shopping experience for our global 3rd party retail consumer and commercial business.
This individual is responsible for building a roadmap and execution strategy and working with and through the Channel Sales, Channel Marketing and Category teams to support sell through revenue, profitability, market share and customer satisfaction across our suite of core consumer products including: Windows, Surface, Office, and Xbox; and commercial products: M365, Server and Windows Pro devices.
Responsibilities
Business Planning, Strategy & Execution: Develop the overall worldwide digital strategy and customer journey mapping for Microsoft in B2B2C and B2B business. This includes digital online and convergent buying/Omni-channel across all other touchpoints where digital or technology overlap. Your remit will cover six key areas: content asset creation & execution; tools and programs development; training development; insights and analysis around investment opportunities and digital trends; and digital transformation for our 3rd party partners.
Delivery of Innovation: Proficient in digital campaigns and analytics in order to innovate digital channels, reporting to meet the financial plans and targets, in terms of volume, revenue and profit targets globally.
Team Leadership: Attract, coach, and retain world class talent. Effectively lead through change as both the company and retail channel evolve for the future. Build an engaging work environment and culture across the organization to stimulate and motivate the team.
Manage Across the Organization: Operationalize convergent buying, build a roadmap and share dashboards. Manage the rhythm of the business to provide visibility for the Business Group partners during the quarterly business reviews, strategic planning processes etc.
Qualifications
A seasoned Digital Marketing professional, this individual will have led a sales & marketing team with a focus on digital products and ecommerce: directing and prioritizing work across teams to drive detailed planning and consistent execution of strategies, roadmaps, and sprints. They are able to identify trends and constantly monitor what works and what needs improvement, be proficient in digital campaign management and analytics reporting.
Proficiency with a variety of tools, including Display Advertising, programmatic marketing, Affiliate, SEO/SEM, CRM, content marketing lead generation, Mobile and Social Media Optimization engagement activities, with a deep background in Retail or large traffic ecommerce business.
Digital Investment Acumen: The ability to consistently make the kinds of digital investments that deliver and sustain value. Achieving it requires technological acumen, but not just on its own; it must be linked to a clear strategic direction for the enterprise.
Customer Journey Road mapping & Innovation: Proven track record in pioneering new ideas and breakthrough customer shopping experiences. Adept at shopper marketing - leveraging analytics to capitalize on opportunities and position with retail and commercial partners.
Experience, Skills, and Knowledge Required:
• 12+ years with proven ecommerce and digital marketing experience – Including asset creation, vendor management, and analytics
• 5+ years with commercial marketing and execution experience
• 3+ years project/program management experience
• Management Experience including leading high performing teams
• Experience working in a global team
• Ability to effectively drive cross-group collaboration, using strong communication, and organizational skills
• Able to be seen by partners as a trusted, strategic digital advisor
• Technical training expertise
• Financial and analytical experience
• Negotiation and influencing skills that gain successful outcomes for both the partner and Microsoft
• BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience, MBA preferred
• Fluent in English
