Job description
Responsibilities include the following: counseling in connection with various securities law issues that may arise concerning the design, sale (or exchange of) and administration of variable insurance products; drafting variable product disclosure; preparation and filing of registration statements relating to both variable life and variable annuity prospectuses and supplements; and review of marketing materials, including illustrations.

Desired Skills and Experience
Candidates must have 10-12 or more years of experience in the areas of variable annuity and life products with in-depth knowledge of the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Securities Act of 1933 and any other applicable securities laws as they relate to the design, distribution and administration of variable insurance products.
Candidates should have well developed analytical, counseling, writing and communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Experience should include extensive legal support in connection with both product development and implementation issues, as well as broad experience in connection with SEC filings and staff interaction.
Knowledge of (and willingness to learn) state insurance laws and reinsurance issues is a strong plus.
