We’re looking for an Analytics Director to join our team! The Analytics Director provides leadership for a small team of talented marketing analysts. The Analytics Director manages the expectations of the client management team and the analyst team, linking business needs to analytic processes, executing client specific analytic deliverables, as well as analytic project requests. The Analytics Director contributes and guides analysts as they seek customer and business insights from consumer data through analysis, utilizing modeling, reporting and data visualization delivery tools. The Analytics Director develops the analysts, providing direction, mentoring, and skill advancement with unique combination of business acumen and analytic skills.
RESPONSIBILITES

Partner with Client Management teams to develop meaningful, actionable insights based on data analysis and provide recommendations to inform and improve the client’s marketing strategy. Provide thought leadership to connect the business need to the best analytic solution.
Communicate clearly with client and project management to thoroughly understand the client’s needs and assure data is analyzed appropriately.
Design appropriate methodologies (encompassing type of data, time frame, calculations or statistical techniques, appropriate comparisons) to answer client business questions.
Lead a team of analysts for multiple clients. Act as primary contact for projects, deliverables of the team.
Scope analytical projects in terms of resources and time required from beginning to end of project
Manage the execution of data analyses, both through individual contributions (hands-on data mining work) and supervision of analysts to ensure milestones are being met with accurate learnings.
Leverage analyst strengths and develop analysts to improve their skills and abilities. Design and create marketing metrics reports and management dashboards for multiple clients including data visualization.
Evaluate impact of marketing programs through use of test design and analysis of programs and target audiences.
Identify and use appropriate data sources and manipulate date to carry out in-depth quantitative analyses of customer, market, transaction level data sets.
Evaluate the quality and accuracy of existing analyses (done internally or externally) and provide ideas/ coach analysts for improvement.
Develop customer contact strategies, including test design, selection criteria and measurement plans for analyses.
Use statistical techniques (e.g. regression models, time series models, factor analysis and clustering) as needed. Consider other analytic methods and models based on client requests or projects for new business.
Present findings and recommendations verbally with clarity to internal and external audiences.
Provide thought-leadership for execution of new business projects and internal company initiatives


SKILLS REQUIRED

7+ years progressive experience in advanced analytics, marketing, analysis, planning and execution of direct response programs. 2+ years of leading a team of 3 or more marketing analytics professionals
BA/BS in Marketing, Finance, Economics, Statistics or related field. Master’s degree preferred
Expertise in using analytic tools, including SAS and SQL, to support analysis, reporting, and development of statistical models, including linear and logistic regression, time series, CHAID, cluster segmentation, and other techniques; SAS certification preferred
Expert proficiency in Excel (VBA a plus)
Proficient with additional analytic tools such as R, S+, various BI tools, and exposure to web analytics methodologies and tools such as Google Analytics/Omniture
Data visualization tool experience, Tableau is a plus
Proficient in MS Office Suite and common desktop tools
Strong business acumen, connects clients perspective to analysis
Ability to analyze and report complex marketing data results with strong attention to detail
Pro-active, ability to quickly frame perspectives/approaches
Self-motivated, with ability to manage at all levels
Problem-solving mentality, positive solution orientation
Clear and concise communication skills
