Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this role is responsible for steadily achieving superior audience engagement and intimacy, website traffic, and revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap.
The ideal candidate is results-oriented analytical thinker with a healthy dose of creative flair. S/He has 8+ years of progressive social media and/or digital marketing experience, ideally within an agency or high-growth company, and can:
Watch: Career Advice Demonstrate a proven track record of building and executing social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification.
Generate, edit, publish, and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages Spartan community members to take action.
Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content.
Optimize continuously by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information.
Collaborate with other departments (analytics, media, email marketing, etc.) to manage perceptions, identify key players, and coordinate actions.
Champion and build Spartan Race’s influencer/ambassador programs (e.g. Spartan Pro team, Street Team, Spartan SGX Coaches).
Build relationships with priority platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn, etc.), ensuring Spartan Race is a preferred partner and early-adopter of their innovations.
Additionally, s/he:
Shows a solid understanding of the constantly evolving Social Media space.
Has experience managing internal teams, as well as client/agency relationships.
Will roll-up their sleeves, work hard, and get it done.
