Director Product Management, Domestic DHL eCommerce Weston

Job Description:
As Director of Product Management, Domestic you will lead a team focused on defining, building and continuously improving the portfolio of domestic shipping services with an emphasis on maximizing its value to the fast moving eCommerce market. This role is inherently cross-functional. You will drive the strategy and vision for the evolution of the product portfolio, bring products to market, and develop and grow business opportunities working closely with Operations, IT, Engineering, Commercial, Sales, Marketing and business leaders. A successful candidate will be an effective leader, who is highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively across functions and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality, products and services that customers value.

Duties And Responsibilities
Drive the development and execution of the product strategy and vision for domestic delivery services supported by internal and external analysis including implications of annual USPS, FedEx, & UPS rate increases and product changes. Evaluate the US e-commerce market to define ideal domestic delivery offering and positioning.
Staff and lead a team of talent, providing guidance and direction to achieve the product vision and achieve set objectives within set timelines and budgets.
Develop and implement new products and features on behalf of customers: working cross-functionally to drive ideas from conception to execution including commercial strategies, developing marketing plans and sales strategy to drive awareness and adoption, segmenting customers and developing business models, defining and analyzing success metrics, managing strategic projects, and becoming the business owner of the product.
Assure stakeholder and Senior Management alignment through regular product updates and dashboards
Lead cross functional project teams to execute product roadmap and drive continuous product improvement.
Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the organization's ability to meet its strategic, financial, and technical goals.
Responsibility for financial performance of products
Plan and conduct periodic business reviews with Senior Leadership team.
Define scope and prioritize projects with an understanding of tradeoffs and impact.
Develop and implement measures to manage compliance of internal and external partners to product requirements, processes and SLAs.
Define customer integration requirements and documentation such as labeling, manifesting, sort codes, Bill of Ladings (BOLs), shipment documentation and manage execution in collaboration with other functions.
Provide guidance to organization as it relates to USPS rules, regulations and rates
Provide to Commercial strategic guidance around price points and cost model
Interface with customers, vendors and USPS on a regular basis to maintain current market knowledge.
Ensure domestic technical specification documents are up to date and manage IT change requests


Requirements And Skills
Excellent business judgment and ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
Experience identifying, hiring and leading a team of talents.
Proven track record of identifying customer needs and inventing new ways to meet those needs.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, drive actions and evaluate outcomes.
Detail orientation and process oriented thinking
Proven ability of taking ownership, managing multiple, competing priorities simultaneously and successfully delivering results in a fast pace, dynamic environment.
Demonstrated record of partnering with teams across the organization and influencing to achieve business results across multiple teams who may have different goal.
Excellent communication and persuasion skills; demonstrated success building buy-in for an innovative and bold strategic vision.


Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree Business, Marketing, Industrial Engineering or other related degree required.
10 years of product management or related experience or 6 years of product management or related experience and MBA.
3 years of management experience.
MS Office programs proficient.

•Experience in ecommerce, Business to Consumer (B2C) shipping or logistics.

•Knowledge in USPS postal regulations a plus.
