Job description
This position is in the Teamcenter documentation and courseware group within the Learning Media Development organization. In this position, your main focus will be to create documentation for designated applications of the Teamcenter product. You will also assist, as needed, in developing training materials for these and other Teamcenter applications. You will work closely with Product Managers, subject matter experts, instructors, other information developers, and editors to make sure your materials are process focused and task oriented. You will analyze specifications, create design documents, and write content to enhance the learning experience of our customers.

Desired Skills and Experience
Duties and Responsibilities

Participates in business process, audience, and task analyses for technical content design.
Plans, develops, and maintains new and existing Teamcenter documentation and training.
Learns the assigned Teamcenter product areas, conducts research, and becomes a subject-matter expert in those areas.
Uses XML content-authoring tools to create and maintain technical information products.
Communicates project progress to stakeholders through meetings and status updates.
Works closely with internal and external teams to develop and track deliverables.
Leads projects of significant size, complexity, and importance.

Minimum Requirements

Detailed experience in creating task-based, user-focused technical content and/or training materials.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team.
Strong interpersonal communication skills, ability to communicate effectively communicate in one-to-one and group situations, as well as in remote work groups.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to constant change.
At least 8 years of relevant experience and a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of several main end-user Teamcenter applications.
Experience in developing high-quality technical content based on business process, audience, and task analyses.
Experience in working directly with Siemens PLM customers who have implemented Teamcenter.
Experience developing technical documentation in an Agile environment.
