In this role, you will provide organizational leadership for teams such as Sales, Account Management and Program Management to guide programs around the most important growth aspects. The leader of these programs would need to demonstrate an ability to successfully drive growth across the P&L by defining strategic direction, producing and executing product and operating plans, developing innovative experiences for vendors, and lead a diverse cross-functional team to execute on those plans.
You will hire and develop senior leaders for your team to drive a culture of business ownership, customer obsession, high standards and delivering business results. You will partner with Retail category leaders WW to set business goals around selection, revenue, profitability and operational defects for each category and then work with technology teams to deliver solutions to enable these business goals. You will partner with shared services teams to deliver operational performance that enables Amazon and its vendor partners to grow together. Your teams will help improve our vendor experience, grow the topline and reduce our operating costs. Considerable judgment is necessary because you will be motivating others to meet the challenges of an extremely deadline-driven environment where explosive growth is occurring while achieving impeccable quality. Your demonstrated ability to influence large operational and technical teams is critical to success in this position.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of having built and delivered large scale programs ground up preferably in the Retail domain. He or she will have a strong blend of product management and project management skills with the ability to conduct in-depth analyses, think big and identify strategic opportunities. The candidate should have demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders across business and technology teams to identify, define, and build solutions that meeting customers’ needs. The candidate will have a demonstrated record of team building and execution in a large volume business environment and be able to lead not only at the strategic level, but also tactically day-to-day by diving deeply into business and technical domains. This requires a person that is very metrics driven, yet has the vision to scale the business.
This is a key strategic role in Retail Systems and Services and the ideal candidate will be able to identify and articulate a strategic vision backed by data and critical thinking. The candidate will have the leadership to build cross-company support for that vision and the ability to execute on it. This needs to be a candidate that is clearly passionate about the large opportunity and challenges that being responsible for a multi-billion P&L brings. As such, it demands a leader that is extremely attracted to the opportunity and is never satisfied with the results.

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree required.
· Experience managing a P&L
· Position requires 7+ years of successful leadership experience in managing large cross functional teams
· A mix of business and program mgmt experience including P&L responsibility and proven track record of success defining and delivering innovative big ideas to drive long term results

Preferred Qualifications

· MBA degree preferred
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
· Decisive, confident, and experience with influencing other senior leaders
· Bias for action, and experience making things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
· Operational support and passion, with experience in establishing, measuring, and meeting service level agreements
. Knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean Processes
· Demonstrated ability to hire and develop strong operations team members and leaders
· Business analysis acumen, with substantive experience measuring the success of a complex business process and proposing new business opportunities
· Demonstrated experience and proficiency in effective communication of goals and strategies across multiple leadership levels of an organization.
· Proven experience in working with large scale technology systems
