Director - Branch Marketing - OneWest Bank - Santa Monica


Job description
The Branch Marketing Director will partner with senior managers to increase revenue streams and evaluate market opportunities for the Bank. The Marketing Director will lead the advertising, branding, and marketing initiatives for the Retail Branch Group. This position will be a key contributor to the executive team in assisting with development and evaluation of new businesses.
The Marketing Director will manage internal staff and external agencies. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to develop short-term and long-term strategic marketing plans and implement marketing programs that capitalize on business opportunities to target new and existing customer segments, contribute to the achievement of strategic business plan objectives to drive revenue, increase market share, and achieve optimal brand awareness.

– Creates, manages, and deploys marketing campaigns for OneWest branch products and services including eMail marketing campaigns and advertising

– Ensures the consistency of OneWest's brand in all messaging across multiple platforms

– Directs interactive agency marketing and media campaigns to meet business performance objectives

– Responsible for hiring, mentoring and evaluating direct staff employees of the marketing team

– Responsible for developing and submitting an annual marketing budget

– Responsible for managing expenses to an approved budget

– Oversees development of collateral materials

– Interacts closely with Corporate Marketing for branding and corporate communication

– Takes responsibility for product and program profitability

– Build solid profitable business cases for the introduction of new branch product and services

– Ownership for financial performance of all branch marketing initiatives and programs, to include response rate, cost of acquisition and ROI.

Desired Skills and Experience
– Bachelor's Degree in marketing or related major required / MBA preferred

– Minimum of 5 years of professional experience; preferably in banking or financial services

– Must have strong analytic skills to forecast, track and measure financial performance of marketing functions

– Must have an understanding of business, ability to drive profitable outcomes, and proven executive management abilities based
on prior experience

– Must have a complete understanding of the principles and methods of advertising, promotions, public relations,
market research and database marketing

– Must have the ability to create, present, execute, and track marketing plans
to financial performance targets

– Must have the ability to manage and develop budgets for reaching marketing goals and objectives while ensuring those are
within policies and procedures

– Must have experience directly supervising, coaching, and providing creative direction to team members
– Must have knowledge of the full range of communication channels, including corporate communication methods and strategies

– Demonstrates abilities to maintain professional contacts, a knowledge base of marketing skills within and outside OneWest,
keep up with trends, and ensure compliance of all regulations and laws affecting bank marketing
