Senior Director - Diversity & External Engagement - PepsiCo - Purchase
THE ROLE
The Senior Director of Diversity & Engagement will report to the SVP, Chief Global D&E Officer. The Senior Director will be responsible for crafting and leading PepsiCo's strategy for targeting, nurturing and developing partnerships with D&E internal and external stakeholders to support PepsiCo's broader business strategy and agenda. In working with internal business partners across the corporate functions, such as HR and Corporate Communications, as well as the operating sectors, the
Senior Director will be tasked with synthesizing each of the priorities in order to assist the SVP of Diversity & Engagement in executing the right D&E strategy, which will include enhancing business opportunities, culture, diversity and community engagement amongst other initiatives. This individual will also be responsible for the following:
Create global diversity & engagement initiatives to help deliver business priorities both domestic and global, a by driving partnerships with corporate and Sector stakeholders, including individuals at B4+ levels, including Sector CEOs and PEP Corporate EVPs.
Identify global external influencers and stakeholders with which PepsiCo can partner in order to drive initiatives and activations (meetings, engagements, conferences, etc.)
Collaborate closely with Public Policy Government Affairs, Global Citizenship & Sustainability, Cultural Branding and Communications, Human Resources (among others) in order to create a cohesive and targeted approach in amplifying PepsiCo's diversity & engagement initiatives to deliver targeted business results. Global women's initiatives will be a key priority.
Leverage initiatives to assist Talent Acquisition in elevating PepsiCo's effectiveness as a destination organization for diverse talent.
Develop meaningful and targeted broad-based community affairs events across enterprise PepsiCo, creating a cohesive external approach to how the organization engages local communities
Lead PepsiCo's participation in third-party surveys to drive external reputation
Partner with HR Communications in crafting messaging around PepsiCo's initiatives in driving a robust D&E agenda
Qualifications:
10+ years relevant D&E experience in a consulting capacity, or in a corporate setting for a Fortune company. If coming from a corporate setting, must have demonstrated both leadership and examples of how they have connected D&E work with the business with positive outcomes. Global and women's initiatives experience required.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Communications, Economics, Political Science or other relevant degree; Master's Degree preferred
Must be a team player, working collaboratively to achieve unprecedented results.
Must possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Should have demonstrated experience leading projects to completion while prioritizing daily accountability. Must be a hands-on professional willing to take part in the execution.
Must have ability to think and take action independently, using sound judgment, in an environment that is often ambiguous and dynamic; Ability to make the right tradeoffs is critical for this role
Ability to "manage up" and influence leaders several levels above this role
Culturally and politically astute and possess a business mindset.
Ability to learn quickly and react to a dynamic environment with multiple competing priorities; Must be able to make the right "trade-offs". A professional who is comfortable with change, and is both interested in and can generate new approaches. Innovative, relevant and realistic.
