Director Business Intelligence Analytics EHS&S Johnson & Johnson New Brunswick

Job Description
The Director, Business Intelligence & Analytics (DBIA) is an exciting new position that will serve as the driving force in implementing an EHS&S data strategy that increases both the efficiency of how data is collected/managed/visualized and the value J&J derives from the data. The DBIA will be the key point of contact and s/he will direct a team that designs, develops and implements standardized, enterprise EHS&S information delivery and tools. S/he will be responsible for the performance reporting processes/deadlines/outputs and will move EHS&S towards predictive analytics and mobile technologies. Duties will include communication, outreach and training to various stakeholders throughout the organization, as well as management of outside services (e.g., vendors). The DBIA will chair a cross-functional EHS&S data governance team and will spend a significant proportion of time planning and coordinating work efforts with other groups, including Information Technology (IT), Supply Chain Knowledge Management and possibly Facilities or Global Health.

The DBIA will create strong relationships with Regional Leaders, Campus Leaders and site users in plants/offices to fully represent all stakeholders in the requirements gathering and tool standardization processes. Key business partners include IT and the Supply Chain Knowledge Management team.

Prioritize initiatives and standardize/streamline approaches to EHS&S information delivery, seeking ways to improve utilization and adoption. Managing IT projects. Collaborate with business partners to enable consistent and accurate reporting. Create data visualizations that are responsive to needs, engaging and support decision-making. Stay abreast of latest technologies and trends in data management, both at large and with other J&J functions. Lead cross-functional EHS&S data governance team. Lead and mentor a high-performing support team and communicate regularly with the EHS&S leadership team.

Qualifications

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. A minimum of 10 years of related experience is required. A minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience implementing standardized IT systems and tools at an enterprise (& global) level is required. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable of EHS&S, possess operations experience, exhibit a demonstrated affinity for IT and has experience leveraging digital and social media platforms for communicating & engaging stakeholders in EHS&S. Ideal candidate also has experience with the Intelex platform, Sharepoint, Metric Studio, and one or more BI tools such as Tableau, Cognos, Spotfire, Qlik, etc. Proven ability to: Manage effective teams in highly agile environments and balance tactical and strategic priorities to evolve capabilities over time. Strong analytical and logistical skills. Good verbal, written and customer service-focused communication skills; can simplify IT-speak for non-IT decision makers. Excellent attention to detail. The position will preferably be based in New Brunswick, NJ and will require up to 15% overnight travel.
