Position Summary
In this role, the Director, Industry Marketing - Media is responsible for the overall marketing strategy for our Media division overseeing product marketing, sales enablement and marketing program development. The ideal candidate will have Media industry and product marketing expertise as well as business-to-business demand generation and customer lifecycle marketing experience. Experience in deploying the Challenger Sales methodology will put you ahead of the competition.



Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Develop fully integrated strategic marketing plans for WSI’s Media vertical, managing internal resources to execute effective programs that drive opportunities. Effectively allocate dollars across all marketing activities, including events & tradeshows, measuring effectiveness and optimizing as required.
Oversee product marketing for both existing and new solutions for the Media industry.
Maintain responsibility for product launch and lifecycle plans and sales enablement.
Work closely with internal WSI departments, including product management, engineering, marketing and sales to ensure achievement of revenue targets through effective launch programs, sales enablement and targeted communication strategies throughout the customer lifecycle.
Collaborate with sales leaders to develop sales tools that allow our global sales team to sell more effectively using the Challenger Sales methodology.
Understand the competitive landscape and ensure WSI’s products can compete in the global market.
Oversee market research, commercial insight and analyses of relevant market segments to ensure product strategies align with customer and market needs.

Education, Experience, Certification Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent knowledge
7 years of related product marketing experience with at least 2 years’ experience in the supported industry, with demonstrated achievements and progressive responsibilities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proven track record of marketing excellence, preferably within the media industry
Deep understanding of the competitive landscape, current trends, business issues and industry-specific technology
Proven success in developing and executing multi-platform, value-building initiatives with quantifiable results and corresponding metrics
Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and prioritize all responsibilities accordingly
Ability the think creatively and retain a knowledge base of innovative marketing techniques (from conceptualization to execution to wrap-up/merchandising)
Demonstration of strong technical savvy, excellent project management skills and strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter with the ability to adapt quickly to ever-changing business priorities
Demonstrated proficiency with Salesforce.com as a sales and marketing tool to include creating and managing reports, dashboards, and maintaining data integrity.
Proven success in creating and executing a variety of marketing campaigns and demand generation programs.
