Position Description
Senior level position responsible for the effective implementation of wealth management, trust products, and services to individuals while maintaining high level of client loyalty and driving significant net asset flows to Fidelity.
Primary Responsibilities
Grow, develop, and retain book of high net worth, complex investors by proactively leveraging Fidelity's fee-based wealth management strategies.
Build deep relationships with clients and their families to proactively manage their changing situations through life stages and generational wealth transfer.
Drive loyalty, share of wallet, and referrals from existing customers to cultivate outside acquisition opportunities.
Analyze and plan broad investment strategy for trust/ wealth management customers with ongoing and consistent revision of account objectives to meet client needs such as retirement cash flow, tax minimization, and estate planning.
Partner/coordinate across team of financial planning associates, investment managers, and service support representatives.
Provide meaningful, relevant, and timely communication to entire book of clients.
Possess working knowledge of the specific provisions of each trust document, and partner closely with Asset Management Team to provide ongoing client changes to inform appropriate and dynamic investment management.
Lead through regular team meetings, senior leadership presentations, and mentorship of office, area, and national associates
Maintain extensive contact with asset managers, clients, co-trustees, consultants, and outside attorneys to ensure communication of trust/agency requirements and coordinate portfolio activity
Elevate Fidelity's brand and trust and wealth management offering in the competitive market set
Upon request, provide ongoing strategic insights and recommendations to senior management. Link these firm directives to local and area team to drive enhanced performance
Desired Skills and Experience
Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree or equivalent highly preferred in relevant field (e.g., business administration, finance, economics, law, taxation)
Suggested: CTA, CFP, CFA
Minimum 12 years relevant applicable experience including a sound understanding of the Broker/Dealer and RIA marketplace
Series 7, 63, 65, 66 and life insurance licenses required prior to hire.
Skills and Knowledge
Proven track record building wealth management and trust strategies with new and existing clients and prospects through fee-based services (including both discretionary and non-discretionary investment management)
Deep experience in effectively executing the key elements of the wealth planning process including Investment Strategy, Retirement Planning, Income Protection, Asset Protection, and Family Assistance
Knowledge and experience with fixed income portfolios and structured equity products.
Extensive and successful background in building, articulating, executing, and managing multi generational financial plans to solve complex investment and tax needs
Established knowledge of investment and portfolio management theory, accounting and financial principles, associated investment strategies and instruments, characteristics of world markets, and full range of investment products
Poised senior associate with significant experience communicating factors impacting the markets and the ability to present regular investment updates to clients and associates.
Successful sales history in the fiduciary asset management business and proven ability to manage high volume business and competing priority environment
Entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to work collaboratively across an organization to achieve results
Excellent team member and leadership skills
