Job Description:
Samsung’s Advertising Sales Team is looking for a leader to grow our Connected TV Display Advertising program. We are seeking a seasoned Product Manager leader with ad network and/or DSP expertise to define & create a cutting edge multi-screen ad platform product.
In this capacity, your role will be dynamic and challenging. You will gain broad exposure to Connected TV and mobile advertising experiences, manage 1st party data, initiate competitive assessment in various market and help define the monetization of the ads platform. You'll work closely with a global product management and marketing team to understand the needs of all markets, to create and manage high-performance advertising platform.
In this role, you will be managing three PMs and be responsible for defining the future of the SmartTV Ad Platform. If you like a start-up environment, you will enjoy working with this team. The PM team is small, but works at the startup speed of 225mph. In this capacity, you will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering.
Specific responsibilities include:
Think and build products like a startup - only inside a big company.
Own the product roadmap. Manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation to the full iteration of the product launch for ads platform, mobile monetization and data management.
Develop product strategy – including, but not limited to, product research, competitive analysis, market positioning, and defining metrics.
Work with the engineering team to design and implement the product features.
Collaboration with the various stakeholders (sales, business development, QA, engineering, and data teams) to constantly improve the product.
Collaborate with the in-house design/UXI teams on key architectural decisions.
Collaborate with the in-house data teams to increase campaign effectiveness, enhanced ad targeting capabilities as well as support capabilities for deeper campaign analysis, optimization and reporting.
Desired Skills and Experience
Necessary qualifications:
10+ years of product design experience with focus on digital ad serving products.
10+ years of experience in the Ad Tech and Digital Ad Monetization industry / ecosystem and has in-depth knowledge with entities such as DSPs, Ad exchanges, Mobile, Data Providers & SSPs.
5+ years of familiarity with big-data systems and machine learning is a plus.
Proven experience in owning & have delivered successful digital ad products, reporting interfaces and self-service UIs.
Knowledge of Agile principles, with experience in leading scrums, building user stories, writing specifications, and managing team resources effectively.
Strategist and a quick, dynamic thinker with sheer love for developing disruptive products.
Ability to solve complex problems in a fast-moving environment.
Experience with Agile development environments.
Ability to manage a small team & work effectively in a cross-functional & matrixed relationships.
Strong analytical skills and strategic insight to build business cases for growth.
Experience with Cable Networks, In-Stream/Video Networks, preferred but not required.
