Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Manufacturing to lead our multi-site toner plant operations in Lawrenceville, GA. This position will direct the production workforce and manage manufacturing operations resources to achieve safety, quality, delivery, new product introduction, and productivity objectives while ensuring compliance to all required governmental laws and EH&S regulations.

The Director Of Manufacturing Will
Be accountable for the success of the toner production operations’ performance by ensuring that daily, weekly and monthly production goals and employee productivity targets are achieved in a timely manner in order to meet the Company’s objectives and P&L targets.
Ensure that the production operations’ OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency) performance scorecard KPIs are met, by working in a cross functional team environment with other key areas.
Serve in new product start-up capital project teams by engaging/participating in the planning, designing, fabrication, & installation of new production lines to achieve successful turnover of new products.
Develop and implement policies, methods and processes to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective manufacturing operations.
Deploy and apply expertise in the use of management tools and metrics to reduce manufacturing cost and increase profitability.
Direct the resolution of production problems and product quality issues. Oversee the problem investigation and resolution process and monitor results on a PDCA basis in order to permanently solve problems.
Manage and reconcile raw materials, in-process materials and finished goods inventory.
Ensure that necessary resources such as manpower, availability of raw materials, production supplies and safety equipment are planned and secured for effective/efficient management of the operations.
Ensure that the production operations are in compliance to all required governmental laws and safety/environmental regulations.
Frequently communicate with other Ricoh Family Group companies as well as suppliers and customers to resolve issues with product quality, delivery or new product start-up.
Ensure that manufacturing operations policies are enforced to guarantee our compliance as a Zero Waste to Landfill certified site.
Qualified Canidates Will Possess
Bachelor’s degree and 10 plus years of experience in manufacturing operations with a minimum of 5 years of management experience required, preferably in chemical products manufacturing.
Must possess effective materials and products inventory management/reconciliation knowledge and actual manufacturing plant experience.
Must have excellent leadership, communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills.
Must have strong decision making skills that are supported by data collection, data analysis, and statistical process control expertise.
Advanced problem solving skills needed to resolve complex and/or high impact process and quality problems, often requiring collaboration with other departments, customers or vendors.
Ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship.
MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) skills at expert level required.
