Sr Director Global Sales Channel Strategy Autodesk San Francisco

In this role, you will partner closely with sales leadership to define the long term GTM strategy for direct and channel sales, including financial goals, sales force composition, and channel mix. Additionally, you will manage a global team that develops and executes against initiatives that align with the overall sales strategy, including global channel programs, sales analytics, and new sales models. You will be seen as a thought leader and senior liaison representing sales to other functional groups – Industry Strategy & Marketing (ISM), Global Customer Support & Operations (GCSO), Global Sales Operations (GSO), and Finance, to ensure alignment of sales strategy with overall corporate goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:
Lead a large global team responsible for:
Autodesk sales and services strategy
Partner programs
Analytics and yearly sales planning
Build organizational alignment around long and short-term sales and channel strategy.
Identify and define the key Autodesk sales segments and coverage models.
Develop and operationalize channel programs that accelerate growth of our core channel.
Identify and develop new channels to meet the evolving needs of our customers and product portfolio.
Evaluate and analyze effectiveness of sales models and programs. Determine what programs should start, stop or continue.
Become a strategic business partner to the sales leadership team by presenting ideas, leading discussions and formulating solutions.
Hire, develop, and retain a team that is both strategic and execution-minded. Lead with vision, and create team focus by identifying the highest ROI initiatives that support Autodesk’s sales strategy.
Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders on all aspects of strategy and program design.
Manage programs through all phases of the development cycle, from analysis and design through implementation and tracking.
Requirements:
15+ years sales strategy / programs experience.
10+ years managing a large, global team.
Understanding of software industry sales models.
Self-motivated, with proven track record of execution as a team member and team leader
Excellent business writing and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
Extreme attention to detail, ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a frenetic and dynamic environment.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and interfacing with all stakeholders at all seniority levels.
Management consulting experience a plus.
MBA preferred
