Strategy development, business planning, and performance analysis are the essence of this role. You directly support the Head of Strategy for the Personal Investing (PI) organization and collaborate with senior business leaders across Fidelity.

The Expertise We’re Looking For
A Bachelor's degree
Masters of Business Administration degree
7 years of work experience with prior experience at a senior level in an internal or external strategy consulting role
Financial Services experience preferred

The Strategy group plays a key role in setting and articulating a clear strategic direction for PI. Partnering with senior business leaders across the organization, we identify new business opportunities, tackle complex problems and develop workable solutions that can be implemented at scale. Our group contributes to - and proactively helps to shape – the most important topics on the agenda of our senior management team.

Your strong analytical and problem solving skills, particularly in the areas of strategy development, market and competitive analysis, and financial analysis makes you a very valuable team member
You have an uncanny ability to synthesize information, generate compelling insights, and formulate recommendations to senior management
Project management, program management, and organizational skills are all tools that can be found in your tool box, in particular the ability to collaborate with and influence business leaders at all levels of the organization
You’re comfortable executing high quality deliverables in a fast paced work environment
You know how to work independently, navigate the organization, and build strong relationships at all levels and functions across the business
The Value You Deliver
Leading the ongoing development of Personal Investing’s (PI) strategy by leading the design and development of strategic assignments. Executing and integrating strategic assignments across PI. Examples include: market analytics; industry structure and microeconomics; insights on customer segments, product, competitor, and regulatory trends
Heading the overall design and execution of Personal Investing’s (PI) multi-year plan and annual operating plan processes, including: defining timelines, workstreams, and key deliverables, outlining engagement of Senior Team and key business leaders across the organization
Providing insights into organization’s overall performance, such as: coordinating and synthesizing systematic analyses of PI’s investment returns, developing business performance updates to be presented to PI’s senior management team
Providing general decision support as requested by the President and CFO of PI; executing general assignments as requested
Collaborating with other business units across Fidelity – in order to represent PI’s goals and to identify cross-business opportunities.
How Your Work Impacts the Organization
The Strategy group is responsible for the design and development of PI’s strategy, the overall design and execution of PI’s planning processes, and related decision support assignments in support of PI’s President, CFO and business heads. It operates mainly as an internal consulting team providing support to senior business leaders on their most critical strategic issues.
