As Product Strategy & Operations Principal, you will work with sales, product management, engineering, and operations across the Global Marketing Solutions (GMS) organization to help drive GMS’s product strategy for internal tools. You will be responsible for leading a team of Product Leads, deeply understanding user workflows and business needs to shape impactful product insights and technical requirements that drive our product roadmap and product adoption forward. The Sales Support and Product Operations (SSPO) team is a solution-generating force that helps our sales teams and advertisers. These solutions need to be scalable to help thousands (hundreds of thousands? millions?) of customers all over the world with escalation services, product information and support. In addition to troubleshooting on the customer side, we work with sales, product and engineering teams internally to develop better tools and services to improve our products. SSPO includes Sales Technical Operations, Custom Solutions Engineering, Google Analytics Premium, Product Operations and Escalations Management and the Global Operations & Escalations who collectively work all over the globe to keep the lights on and the ads fresh.

Responsibilities
Garner impactful product insights through your deep knowledge of the user, her workflows, sales processes, and the strategic initiatives of the sales teams.
Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional global stakeholders to prioritize business needs, build consensus, and communicate needs through business requirement documents (BRD) and less formal means.
Manage and communicate testing and launch of new products and features to Sales in partnership with Product Management (PM) and other business stakeholders.
Build business cases and prioritize requirements for internal Google products for PM/Engineering consumption
Structure and execute operational and strategic initiatives by developing work plans, gathering and synthesizing relevant information.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of product management, management consulting, or equivalent project management experience with a technology company.

Preferred qualifications:
Master’s degree in related field or MBA.
7 years of relevant work experience in the technology industry. Experience effectively influencing PM/Engineering teams, senior leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Understanding of the web technology stack (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Appreciation for design, user-experience and insights, mobile web, and mobile native development.
Product leader with passion for web development and product strategy. Entrepreneurial - you have a history of walking through walls to achieve stretch goals.
Enthusiastic problem solver with strong track record structuring and executing complex analyses to support strategy, and ability to work well in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
Excellent presence, written and verbal communication skills.
