The Director – Product Compliance (Director) is responsible for the regulatory development and maintenance of the company’s life and Accident and Health (A&H) insurance product portfolio. The Director will manage the State Filings Division including managers, analysts and administrative assistants to ensure the timely submission of life and A&H insurance form filings to the appropriate regulatory entities for their review and approval.

The Director will also manage the analysis of, and develop responses to, the objection letters received from the examiners from the various regulatory jurisdictions.
Position Requirements:
• 7 – 9 years of product policy forms development experience
• Excellent ability to analyze and interpret product specification and transfer those requirements into compliant policy form language
• Excellent ability to interpret and translate state insurance statutes and regulations
• Excellent analytical, writing and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Excellent ability to pay close attention to detail
• Excellent computer skills with previous experience with MS Office, Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat
• Excellent ability to function independently in a fast paced environment
• Excellent ability to handle large and diverse workload
• Excellent execution skills with the ability to ensure achievement of critical goals
• Intermediate legal research skills and experience with NILS or Oden
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience
• Familiarity with SERFF and I-File
• Experience working with state insurance departments and the Interstate Compact
• Familiarity with New York regulations and department personnel
