As a Director, Product Marketing, you will responsible for managing the overall go-to-market strategy and P&L management for Samsung branded Home Appliance products in the US market, reporting to the VP Product Marketing. Key targets and measurements include:
• Sales • Profit • Market Share • Price Positioning (API) • Forecast accuracy • Aged inventory Core responsibilities include: *P&L responsibility for assigned product categories.  Formulate and direct the go-to-market strategy in conjunction with cross-functional partners in Demand Generation and Sales.  Overall product strategy and management of the product life cycle.  Lead new product innovation roadmaps in partnership with global HQ  Product introductions and model launches in conjunction with the Sales team.  Category expert in terms of industry and technology trends, and competitive benchmarking.  Develop customer-specific strategies, programs and pricing.  Ensure optimal ROIs for marketing activities.  Forecasting and inventory management.  Manage a team of product marketing managers and assistant marketing managers.

Necessary Skills / Attributes
 10+ years of directly related experience is required.  Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) required, MBA preferred.  Retail channel management experience required.  People management of at least 2 years required.  Strong analytical and financial skills (P&L responsibility).  Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenge, some language barriers, and project management deadlines.  Travel up to 40%.  Consistently demonstrates a commitment to policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.  In this role you will develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned levels within and outside the company. You should have the ability to convince others, in a potentially adversarial and highly technical environment, including customer leadership, VPs, directors & managers, staff, and vendors with opposing views to accept/approve plans, technical, and project recommendations. You will plan, organize, and prioritize multiple complex assignments and projects.
