Job Description:
The Director, Sales Strategy will report to the Managing Director, Digital and will be responsible for:
The Digital Client Service team at Nielsen is dedicated to driving change, being a part of progress and helping the media industry adapt to a world filled with digital consumers and rapidly changing habits and technologies. The Digital Client Service team is responsible for selling solutions to our Digital-first clients (a vertical focus) and helping drive uptake of Nielsen’s digital products by all media companies (a horizontal focus).
Responsibilities:
Running business operations of Digital Client Service team, ranging from pipeline to management, to budget management, to understanding the pulse of the business by examining internal and external data
Identifying “accelerators”- opportunities to expand the business beyond day-to-day operations, for example identifying new bundles, new market segments, process improvements and sales contests
Managing “accelerator” projects either directly or by keeping assigned owners accountable to progress
QUALIFICATIONS

Located in New York
4 - 9 years of professional experience, with some background in business analysis, sales strategy/management, sales operations or Finance
Project management capability, with an ability to track key dates and to influence and coordinate multiple stakeholders
Proven business acumen
Ability to make sense of data, using Excel or other reporting/analytics tools
Some level of understanding of digital media and/or digital technologies
Attention to detail
