Lenovo is looking for a strong Sales Director to join our Channel Sales organization. The Channel Sales Director will manage a team of channel sales account executives responsible for some of Lenovo's largest Business Partners in the Western Region of the United States. These partners will consist of large Tier 2 and National Reseller Accounts that are responsible for driving Lenovo's relationship and transactional business as well as new business initiatives through the distribution model.
A candidate with strong relationships with these key Tier II channel partners and distribution partners is highly preferred.
The individual for this role must understand how computer resellers conduct their business and be able to create relationships at the highest levels of the organization. A strong understanding of reseller programs and incentives is preferred. Creative thinking and the ability to create short and long term business plans to drive new business is necessary. This candidate must have key skills in coaching, mentoring and recruiting for Lenovo and the business partners identified.
The preferred location for this position is northern or southern California or the south west area of the United States.
Position Requirements
- BA in related field required – MBA preferred
- 7 to 10 year’s proven track record of sales success (Channel sales experience strongly recommended)
- Must have previous experience managing other sales professionals or extensive Lenovo channel experience
- PC or Computer industry experience highly preferred
- Extensive knowledge of the reseller channel business
- Strong business acumen and analytical ability
- Strong of MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Extensive travel within the territory is required
