Senior Director Content and Growth Marketing Dwell Media San Francisco
Job description
Dwell has an immediate need for a Sr. Director, Content and Growth Marketing in our San Francisco office. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious, multi-faceted marketer to take on an exciting new product launch. One part digital marketing and one part content marketing, this role is a hybrid of skill sets that can be aligned and optimized to grow Dwell’s audience.
The Sr. Director, Content and Growth Marketing will be responsible for the following:
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the rollout and launch of Dwell’s new digital product
- Create, plan and execute a comprehensive rollout strategy including creation of assets, communication plan, coordination with PR efforts, email strategy, etc.
- Lead the ongoing growth, acquisition and audience development plan
- Project audience growth, create and execute upon a growth plan, and track against projections
- Create and execute upon strategic growth campaigns across all marketing platforms: email, social, site, etc.
- Develop and own metrics to measure and drive user growth, user engagement and retention
- Collaborate with all departments -- social, editorial, email, etc. -- to optimize content marketing strategies
- Responsible for managing growth-related marketing budgets
- Oversee all referral and affiliate programs such as Facebook, Adwords, etc.
- Develop campaigns to retain existing audience
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 6-8+ years in content and growth marketing for a publisher/content platform
- Online/offline marketing experience – overseeing marketing strategy and budgets, creative, technical implementation (i.e. testing) and analytics
- A proven track record of launching a new product with measurable metrics for success
- A proven track record of scaling/increasing audience acquisition, engagement and retention
- High comfort level with data analytics and their use in implementing, changing, developing marketing strategy
- Expert knowledge of email marketing, content marketing, SEM, SEO, display and social
- Strong copywriting ability
- A love for modern design and all things Dwell
- Ability to set up Q/A and run A/B tests
- strong Excel skills – know how to do pivot tables & SQL knowledge a big bonus
- Enough HTML/CSS/JS skills to be able to set up optimization tests
