FICG provides clients with: · A unique combination of coordinated accounting, tax and advisory expertise, along with a variety of functional specialties, including capital markets, investment banking transaction structuring, investor reporting and technology; · A team of professionals based in New York, Washington, DC, London, and other locations throughout the world. They represent the singular comprehensive team necessary to support a securitization transaction from start to finish; and · Experience in virtually all asset classes, including collateralized debt obligation, residential and commercial mortgages, commercial loans and bonds, automobile loans and leases, trade receivables, credit cards, home equity loans, equipment loans and leases, student loans, manufactured housing loans, franchise loans, timeshare receivables and mutual fund fees. Position/Program RequirementsMinimum Years of Experience: 8
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Certification(s) Required: CPA, Enrolled Agent or Member of the Bar
Knowledge Preferred
Extensive knowledge of the tax implications associated with loans, debt equity securities, derivatives, structured notes, mortgage backed securities, asset backed securities and collateral debt obligations.
Thorough knowledge of acquisition of distressed credits, loan restructurings, settlement obligations and real estate mortgage investment conduits.
Skills Preferred
Extensive technical skills, including FAS 109, FIN 48, GAAP Reporting Issues and Mark to Market elections for asset backed and mortgage backed securities.
Thorough experience identifying and addressing client needs: developing and sustaining deep client relationships using networking, negotiation and persuasion skills to identify and sell potential new service opportunities; preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials; and defining resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collection.
Thorough experience as a team leader: leading teams to generate a vision, establish direction and motivate members, create an atmosphere of trust, leverage diverse views, coach staff, and encourage improvement and innovation.
