Senior Director - Financial Planning & Analysis - Gigamon - San Francisco


Job description
As the Sr Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, reporting directly to the CFO you will be responsible for all financial planning and analysis for a rapidly growing public technology company. You will partner with the CEO, CFO and executive team to develop effective operating plans and optimize strategic investment decisions to drive continued growth and profits.
Responsibilities:
Develop effective annual operating plans and longer term strategic plans in collaboration with the executive team and Board of Directors.
Develop quarterly forecasts in support of external guidance to Wall Street and monitor performance throughout the quarter.
Deliver an effective internal management reporting package with metrics that matter. Present to management to help improve visibility on operations and drive appropriate business actions.
Support Sales by performing rigorous independent analyses of bookings trends, sources of revenue, linearity, pipeline, backlog, sales rep capacity, discounting, etc.
Partner with Engineering and Marketing to provide data that drives optimal investment decisions with rigorous ROI analyses to influence investment prioritization and effective spending within budget.

Collaborate with Operations to identify opportunities for cost reduction and effective inventory management in order to expand gross margin.
Set and maintain budgets for spending and headcount throughout the company; monitor performance to ensure execution to plan.
Set targets for gross margin and help drive performance to plan.
Develop a strong FP&A team and effective processes.

Desired Skills and Experience
Proven track record of financial management and leadership at a successful public company, preferably in a rapidly growing high-tech environment.
10-15+ years progressive experience in corporate financial planning & analysis roles.
MBA strongly preferred; strong financial and business acumen.
Ability to coach, mentor and develop strong team while also working hands-on as appropriate.
Outstanding business partnership skills, strong analytical abilities.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to present complex data in an effective manner to highlight issues and drive effective business decisions.
Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
