SUMMARY
UTi Transport Solutions is a leading 3rd party logistics company that operates in all areas of supply chain fulfillment. Incumbant will lead the Center of Excellence Department for UTi Transport Solutions. Oversees the COE team and provides leadership for best practices and support and training for the the business. The incumbant, will participate in efforts to grow the business unit and increase the market presence of our company as a premier logistics provider. The main focus of this position is to manage operations and help to build the division. Incumbant will interact daily to help the team in building relationships and looking for new/additional freight.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Position will include, but not limited to, the following:
Supervise the members of Corporate Operation Centers and perform the day-to-day duties associated with being the Corporate Operations Manager.
Monitor the development and growth of our Corporate Business program.
Increase sales through development of new clients and existing clients.
Responsible for training of Corporate Operation Employees in freight sales techniques, goal development and performance measurements
Assist Operation Managers with development of existing employees.
Review and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports for accuracy, trends, and areas needing sales development.
Continuously look for ways to improve operational processes, define structure and increase productivity.
Monitor the performance of the members of each center under your supervision to ensure compliance to policies, procedures, service standards, and increased business growth.
Acquire and apply professional/technical knowledge, skills, experience and judgment to accomplish results that contribute to the strategic business plans.
Motivate and support co-workers, integrate and promote the UTi Company Values into daily actions and interactions (Integrity, Innovation, Teamwork, Dedication and Respect).
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises 7-10 people; Logistics Account Managers, Operations Managers, Operations Supervisor, Corporate Trainer
Desired Skills and Experience
Comprehensive knowledge of LTL, Truck Load, the current trucking marketplace
Highly developed organizational and people skills
Good communication skills are essential
Ability to build and maintain positive business relationships and function within a group dynamic
Demonstrated ability to obtain an in-depth understanding of the diverse needs of each client and assume ownership of growing the business.
Must have excellent customer service skills,
Demonstrated ability to develop and prepare analytical reports
Requires the ability to self-direct, work without supervision
Balance multiple duties at once
Possess a high attention to detail.
Must be a "team player"
Computer Skills
High PC proficiency
Education and/or Experience
10+ years in transportation brokerage or third party logistics
5+ year’s management experience
Prior work experience in a corporate brokerage/inside sales environment
College degree required.
