Director - New Media Business Development - DreamWorks Animation - Los Angeles

DreamWorks Animation (“DWA”) is seeking an experienced business development executive to work as part of a small team focused on innovative new media partnerships. Strong candidates will excel at evaluating multi-faceted deals, driving agendas, and clearly articulating complex issues. Polished presentations, superb communication skills and an ability to navigate across complex organizations required. This position is based in Glendale, CA and reports to the Head of New Media Business Development.

Responsibilities
Work with internal and external partners to evaluate, develop, and implement strategic opportunities at the intersection of technology and media:
Business Development – Maintain a current awareness of trends in the competitive marketplace, and assist in keeping senior stakeholders informed. Coordinate agendas, drive exploratory discussions, evolve relationships, and help structure agreements. Use market trends, case studies, and other research to create and deliver persuasive pitch presentations and market updates.
Deal Analysis and Negotiation – Create models, forecasts, and financial valuations to inform structuring and negotiations of prospective deals. Manage key portions of due diligence for prospective transactions and strategic initiatives.
Operations – Work with a broad range of constituents to implement, integrate, and provide ongoing support for transactions and strategic initiatives after close.
Special Projects – Manage strategic and valuation analyses on an ongoing and an ad-hoc basis.

Desired Skills and Experience
6+ years work experience with at least 2 years of relevant experience in media or entertainment corporate development, venture capital, investment banking, or consulting
Familiarity and strong interest in new media technology and distribution platforms, and experience with complex deal structuring
Experience navigating complex organizations
Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to develop strong working relationships inside and outside of DWA
MBA preferred
