Director - Product Marketing - WebMD - New York


Job description
The Director of Product Marketing is part of a dynamic, cross-functional marketing team focused on building an innovative, integrated marketing product strategy for WebMD. We are a team of passionate, strategic and creative thinkers. WebMD’s Product Marketing Team directly supports and impacts results for a sales team who are at the top of their industry.

The Director will be responsible for supporting the development, rollout, sale, and evolution of WebMD’s digital advertising products. The incumbent will serve as product marketing expert addressing product inquiries and enhancements across the entire product portfolio. He or she will contribute to the analysis of portfolio performance and will make recommendations for product improvements and pricing revisions. As such, this role will be a critical link to marketplace and advertiser insights, and will contribute to the development of our next generation products.

Drive product development roadmap and go-to-market strategy of Ad Solutions (display, native, programmatic) across all platforms (online, video, mobile, social)
Provide product and marketplace expertise to support prospective sales by addressing advertiser needs around capabilities, customization requests, and solution configuration
Develop and present product marketing and training materials such as client-facing positioning, sales tools, and competitive analyses
Contribute to the business plan, strategy, forecasting, pricing and positioning of WebMD’s highly differentiated product solutions
Evaluate product sales performance/impact to deliver monthly insights, trends and recommendations to management team, and inform product enhancements
Manage strategic Media and Tech partnerships that power differentiated advertising opportunities, deliver marketer value and drive revenue
Serve as internal and external thought leader around digital media, paid content and online advertising

Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
5-10 years or equivalent experience in digital media, ad solutions and product marketing
Proven success in developing and supporting products and marketing efforts that impact sales growth
Strong command of Ad Tech and Marketplace ecosystems; data-driven media, emerging concepts and programatic buying experience preferred
Highly self-motivated, proactive and self-sufficient
Experience working on cross-functional teams
Confident and capable of juggling several priorities on a regular basis while working independently, strategically and creatively
Preferred product experience with a focus on technology
