Job description
Reporting to the Global Head of Proposition Marketing, Financial, this role contributes significantly to the success of the business by creating and delivering strategic Marketing plans to directly support business objectives for the Wealth Management sector.
The role has a global scope and supports the Sector Lead and business team by developing and owning long term Marketing strategy and ensuring this is delivered effectively through the design of customer centric value propositions to take to market. Requires high levels of collaboration across the business, distributed marketing teams and sales channels and works closely with senior executives in the business. This role helps architect the customer experience by designing and delivering effective and compelling marketing propositions for the Wealth sector and is responsible for industry positioning and Marketing credentials using all relevant channels such as PR, thought leadership, social media etc. This role contributes to the strategic development of the business and provides executive management insight using sophisticated quantitative and qualitative methodologies about the markets, products and services, competitors and customers, and develops Marketing strategies that contribute to solid business results.
Manages the immediate team and engages effectively with the much broader virtual team to deliver against the planning, implementation and measurement of marketing for the Wealth business.
Defines customer centric Marketing propositions through the application of deep domain expertise and rigorous use of market, competitor and customer insight.
Builds messaging to address specific customer issues, ensuring it is differentiated and compelling to prioritised customer groups. Responsible for designing, planning and managing execution of launch programs to promote specific enhancements to our proposition either directly to clients or in-directly via Go to Market regional teams.
Supports the GTM marketing teams by providing outline GTM plans and advice and support for relevant local regional marketing activities.
Responsible for ensuring our sector based value propositions are supported with the right suite of relevant and compelling sales and marketing collateral including regional sales knowledge share and engagement programs.
Contributes to the product and platform marketing messaging and any data driven customer lifecycle comms with customer specific insight on buyer needs and challenges and value based messaging.
Working with the Sector Leads and Marcomms, responsible for building programs to promote specific value propositions to the market and industry influencers to acheive our desired market positioning.
Responsible for the promotion of our value propositions internally. Analyses competitor positioning for specific customer propositions and provides deep insight to ensure our messaging is compelling, differentiated and supported by evidence.
May represent Wealth or Financial in broader, Thomson Reuters wide, projects or initiatives which requires an in-depth knowledge of both the Sector and the markets in which we operate.

Desired Skills and Experience
EDUCATION:
Degree standard plus 10+ years relevant market experience
College degree - preferably in Marketing or Business Studies.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Must exhibit Global Marketing perspective and a deep understanding of how marketing can benefit the Wealth business in order to set industry and business precedents and stay ahead of the competition.
Strong understanding of the global financial markets - customer segments, industry drivers, F&R wide capabilities, Wealth propositions and solutions.
Must have experience of delivering strong, influential, customer value focused communications materials and ability to deliver complex analysis on behalf of the organization.
Strong understanding of the importance of sales engagement programs and ability to demonstrate success in this area.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to provide thought leadership and influence others.
Excellent organizational / project management skills working with multiple groups across geographies and cultures.
DESIRED SKILLS:
10+ years experience in cross media, sophisticated B2B marketing in the capital markets arena, participating on the creation of marketing strategy, plans and budgets spanning industry, marketplace, customers and competition.
Experience in working on large projects in a complex, loose matrix organization.
Professional Marketing qualification or MBA desireable.
