Director - Strategic Partnerships - Irvine Company - Newport Beach


Job description
Job Functions:
The Director of Strategic Partnerships will seek out new distribution channels, develop existing partnerships, evaluate opportunities, solicit new streams of revenue, and confirm business channels to meet overall budgeted sales targets in accordance with established resort sales and marketing plan.
Assist in developing plans to increase sales volume (room nights and revenue) in established assigned market.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with leisure travel agencies, tour operators, OTA channels as well as consortia.
Work weekly arrival report and personalize guest stays.
Complete weekly sales call reports (Opera) and actively participate in weekly sales team Strategy review meetings.
Oversee coordination of various departments’ activities related to booked business to ensure customer satisfaction.
Participate in industry-related organizations, promotions, and trade shows to represent the hotel.

Complete New Account Development and Outreach weekly via phone/e-mail and sales calls.
Create tactical and strategic promotions.
Interfaces with key accounts to develop marketing plan and marketing opportunities.
Provides written production reports to key accounts to ensure sales targets are met.
Produce PACE reports and track revenue streams.
Represents The Resort at Pelican Hill through its “Vision and Values” mission statement.

Qualifications:
Must possess a minimum of 5 years experience in a Director role.
Must possess a minimum of 5 as a transient sales manager with demonstrated results in the development of high-end leisure business, customer satisfaction and repeat guest bookings.
Complete knowledge of the luxury resort market supply and demand as well as financial aspects.
Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills presentation skills.
Strong organization and negotiation skills and the ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment.
Fluent in the use and functionality of Microsoft Office and Opera Systems.
Ability to travel and be in various markets for multiple days.
Ability to strategize and forecast needed transient business.
Ability to prepare written marketing plan to achieve set goals as well as room night and revenue objective.
Must have strong negotiating skills and ability to interface with high level executives as well as high wealth clients.
Must be detailed oriented to serve guest needs while protecting resort revenue/profit potential.
