Director - Marketing - ElliptiGO - San Diego

Job description
We are looking for an experienced marketer with the talent and skills to lead our already successful 3-person marketing team. The Director of Marketing will be responsible for the entire marketing function, report directly to the company executive team, and contribute to a wide range of major company decisions as part of the company leadership. This is a unique opportunity to not only help shape the future of our company, but to dramatically impact the evolution of an entirely new sport and industry.

The right person for this role will possess the experience, capacity and energy to elevate our marketing function so that we can meet our aggressive sales goals, be able to lead the marketing function on a strategic level and execute tactical marketing tasks as part of the team, and have the gravitas to influence company efforts outside of marketing. Most importantly, this person must fit our company culture and have an authentic passion for fitness and improving people’s lives. This position will be based out of our headquarters in Solana Beach, California.

Desired Skills and Experience
In particular, we expect this person to have the following attributes:
At least seven years of marketing experience at a branded consumer products company
Applicable leadership experience and a well-developed leadership philosophy
Excellent quantitative skills and expertise in data analysis using Excel
Extensive experience and expertise in the entire range of current consumer marketing channels, especially event, guerrilla, traditional print, and digital/online marketing
Exceptional written communication and organizational skills
Creative thinker capable of developing and implementing innovative solutions
Strong work ethic and willingness to take the initiative
Passionate desire to contribute to the creation of this new sport and industry

Compensation and Benefits
Compensation: Base Salary + Annual Bonus Opportunity based on personal and company performance.
