Job description
IOWA CITY – Health Care Services Associate Director – The University of Iowa, College of Dentistry is searching for a full-time Health Care Services Associate Director. To oversee the clinic activities of the Hospital Dentistry Institute to include directing the operational, financial, human resources, and compliance activities of the Institute; impact and be responsible for administrative interface and coordination of operations with all other University Hospital Administration, College of Medicine Administration, and College of Dentistry Administration.

REQUIRES:
Masters in Business Administration, Masters in Health Administration, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Typically requires 5-7 years relevant experience in health services administration including the following skillsets:

Budgeting – Extensive Experience
Knowledge of, and ability to apply, policies and practices for planning and administering a budget.
Clinical Service/Department Operations Management – Extensive Experience
Knowledge of and ability to manage effective and smooth operations in a clinical service or department by utilizing various management principles and techniques.

HR OPERATIONS – Expert/Leader Experience
Knowledge of and ability to implement HR related tasks, processes, and projects to ensure that day-to-day operations run smoothly.

DESIRABLE:
Clinical Policies and Standards – Expert/Leader
Knowledge of and ability to use industry standards, policies and procedures relevant to function and organization.
Knowledge of University policies and procedures.
Knowledge of UI Healthcare policies and procedures.
Knowledge of Joint Commission standards and practices.

Desired Skills and Experience
