Manage all aspects of assigned accounts business including sales, distribution, and programing budgets, with direct management of the National Directors assigned to the account.
Essential Functions:
• Effectively represent Ste. Michelle Wine Estates to assigned chain accounts.
• Manage, motivate, train and foster career the development of direct reports.
• Hold consistent cornerstone conversation with direct report to insure alignment of career goals and developmental achievement
• Work with Sr. Director and Regional VPs on account updates correct forecasting.
• Execute/drive company plans to achieve desired results for depletion and PODS
• Communicate and sell company brand plans/objectives, sales and marketing programs.
• Collaborate with marketing to create/implement programs in order to drive programing.
• Ensure proper tracking for programing, planning and distribution
• Develop strong business relationships to become a preferred supplier.
• Knowledge of specific brands, types, sizes and estimated sales trends for all wine and spirit categories for SMWE brands and primary competitors.
• Prepare forecasts for budgets and depletions for all brands on an as needed basis.
• Communicate/update SMWE executive management team account plans that affect operations, finance and marketing.
• Communicate to Chain VP, Sr. Director, RVP and RDOC to insure initiatives are aligned and executed at the local level
• Manage the National Directors proving leadership and developmental feedback to build a high functioning team.
• Fiscal responsibility for team budgets including departmental and direct spending.
• Oversee National retail pricing to ensure brand standards are within guidelines.
• Become the point person with distributors to align goals and expectations for sales numbers and distribution. Coordinate planning meetings with distributor account reps and SMWE team leads.
Requirements Working Conditions:
Home based with heavy/moderate travel managing a team and calling on account. Position will require nights and weekends for special events and customer outings.
Physical Requirements:
Operate a vehicle (maintain a valid driver’s license) and the ability for air travel.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years calling on national retail chain accounts.
Strong management and leadership skills.
Previous supervisory experience
Strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical, reconciliation and prioritization abilities/skills.
Proficiency with MS Office with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to work in a fast paced environment with multiple tasks and frequent deadlines.
History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.
