We are seeking a Product Leader to join our growing B2C Selling organization. Our team is responsible for ~90% of the listings on eBay with over 12M new listings each day. The B2C Selling Platform team supports sellers via APIs, Feeds and Web interfaces while our B2C Pricing team processes over 170M transactions a day. There is no shortage of tough challenges and huge customer impact - but most importantly we are filled with a shared purpose to help our sellers grow their business on eBay.
This leader will manage multiple regional stakeholders across the world and execute on their strategy by building a high performance team. The ideal candidate will be extremely data driven and have previously developed global product strategies that enable and drive innovation and go-to-market efficiency, and understands the nuances of building out product functionality while maintaining operational flexibility. They will also have previous experience with machine learning, pricing strategies and user interface design.
A focus on customer needs is critical to success. He or she will work closely with in-country and regional business leaders as well as product and domain leads to identify and build core capabilities, maximize utility of features common to multiple stakeholders, and efficiently solve for local functionalities critical to market success. Additionally, he or she must have a proven ability to build relationships and influence across the organization at all levels, as well as superior communication and presentation skills.
Responsibilities:
Develop product vision/strategy for Guidance efforts globally
Lead Product Management and partner closely with Engineering/Data Science to build and scale Guidance products and technology.
Create a Guidance strategy and execute on a plan that will leverage algorithms and machine learning to enhance price elasticity and recommendations.
Leverage data science generate flexible and accurate models to drive user behavior
Drive alignment with key strategic partners in Marketing, Go-to-Market, and Region teams, leading the evolution in the way that will drive competitive edge through pricing strategies.
Create full stack solutions, keeping in mind our Sellers experience.
Formulate and communicate long-term objectives and expectations, define strategic direction.
Recruit, develop and mentor world class product managers globally (San Jose, Seattle, Israel, Toronto)
Requirements:
14+ years demonstrated hands-on experience in global software product management with proven track record of leading and delivering world-class large-scale products.
Experienced in expanding and managing a high performance product team, including: hiring, mentoring and retaining talented team members
Must be a strong product leader and people manager. Prefer 5+ years of management experience of leading a high performing product management organization.
Strong experience leading and partnering with global stakeholders to drive product activation and go to market plans
Should have experience working with teams in rapid delivery environments and across multiple geographies
Strong technical background, ideally with experience building platform products with availability, speed and scale
Experience with machine learning, pricing strategies and user experience design a plus
