Europe Optics Emerging Solutions Business Development Director Nokia Madrid

Manage and drive Optics Biz Dev in some emerging markets, such as IBM partnership, SDH Transformation, etc.
Allow IPR&T BG to grow the business related to Optics solution beyond Optics traditional markets
This person will report to EMEA Optics Biz Dev Emerging Solutions Directors:
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS

Manage and Drive Biz Dev and coordinate Tendering activities to increase business related to Optics Solutions for emerging markets
Create stable relationships and "networking" inside the different customer organizations In the relevant market segment, to influence customer strategic decisions as well as network deployments
Identifying and registering business opportunities where Optics BU solution can be applied in the area of responsibility
Proactively built pipeline for emerging markets within his/her area of responsibility
Actively participate in market-related public events
Define the commercial strategy in terms of pricing for the Optics BLs, with the aim of maximizing orders and margins
Collect customer requirements and share them with Optics BU
Provide/collect competitive information
Continuously seek for new applications that can be addressed with Optics solution for the relevant emerging market
Coordinates activities with IP Biz Dev teams related to possible IP/Optics integrated solutions for the relevant emerging market
Push/position pro-actively Optics products and services attached to his/her area of responsibiltiy
Influence customer architectures/network evolution
Support relevant Business Lead to develop business in his/her area of responsibility

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum experience of 10 years in telecommunications sector in EMEA.
Minumum experience of 5 years in Optical Products Business Development
Experience working with direct competitors, preferably Ciena
Master in Telecommunications or similar
Familiar with Optics business and customers
Ability to identify and create business opportunities
Capability to drive business development activities as well as coordinate tendering team in offer preparation
Availability for frequent travelling
Capability to create "networking" inside customer organization
Pro-active approach in promoting innovation and new ideas to the customer
Capability to communicate with high level managers (CxO) within customer organization
Detailed understanding of Optics related technologies as well as integrated IP/Optics architectures
Proven experience in designing complex, operationally critical data network architectures
Proven record of customer focus
Analytical problem solver
Proven presentation skills
Understanding of real customer networks
