Bentley is looking for a Utility Industry Marketing Director who will determine and execute the go-to-market strategy for Bentley’s electric, gas, and water utility industry markets. In this role, you will drive awareness, demand, and adoption of Bentley’s industry solutions worldwide. Using your strategy skills and story-telling talent, you will help Bentley reach new audiences and position the company as a thought leader and trusted advisor.
In this role, you will work with product marketing, business development and sales to create and execute industry marketing plans and communications, including industry-level thought leadership, positioning, messaging, solution launches, and campaigns across Bentley’s portfolio of software applications and services.
Industry marketing specialists are responsible for marketing Bentley’s industry-wide offerings. They are experienced and passionate professionals who can execute all aspects of industry marketing with mastery and autonomy. They will interact with executive management on a regular basis and drive priority projects and strategic opportunities that can affect all aspects of the company. Does this sound like you?
Your Day-to-Day:
• Develop industry marketing plans, and user profiles and value propositions
• Create strategic campaigns to help increase awareness, demand, and adoption
• Evaluate potential impact of proposed campaigns to assist in prioritization
• Work with corporate communications, brand and content services, and product marketing teams to collaborate and execute campaigns
• Work closely with product teams (product marketing, business development, sales) to define industry-level solutions, differentiated value propositions and journey maps across a wide range of product lines and sales regions
• Develop and publish content for the web and social media, such as case studies, videos and white papers
• Lead major campaign launches, ensuring prospects, users, partners, and press understand the differentiated value of Bentley’s solutions
• Understand analyst relations and serve as the main conduit between analysts and various product teams
What You Bring To The Team:
• 5+ years of product/industry marketing experience with a proven track record in high tech and/or enterprise software
• 5+ years of direct utility experience
• Excellent oral communication and storytelling skills
• Excellent written communication and storytelling skills
• Adept at teaming and collaboration
• Able to persuade and influence without direct authority
• You are energetic, creative, and self-motivated
Preferred Qualifications:
• 10+ years’ experience with the utility industry
• 3+ years’ experience with geospatial industry
• Master’s degree with a focus on marketing or business administration
