What You'll Do:
The Operations and Logistics Director will be a key member of the Threadbird operations team. The position will require a leader to both develop and manage teams handling incoming and outgoing small parcel and freight products for Threadbird and its clients from our Orlando warehouse, as well as other locations.
Manage the day to day fulfillment operations
Develop staffing and productivity planning metrics for all segments of the operation
Drive cost and efficiency improvement activities by identifying system improvements, headcount optimization, improved square footage utilization opportunities, and vendor partnerships
Set performance goals around cost as well as exceptionally high levels of customer service and use those goals to motivate your team
Maintain solid inventory control processes and procedures
Develop and execute strategy to efficiently support special projects as well as new service offerings
In close coordination with Operations team, monitor and project space and expansion needs
Optimize our Production and Fulfillment operations to ensure the best possible experience for all parties
Engage with senior management in Sales, Marketing, Production, Finance, and Customer Service
What You'll Need to be Good at:
A strong understanding of planning, and lots of budgeting experience
A deep belief in the power of technology as a tool to drive success, including WMS and ecommerce platforms
Working knowledge of Google suite of products, in particular Sheets and Documents
Detail oriented, strong communication and collaborative skills
Looking at any process and being able to present and implement different ways to make it more efficient
What we require:
It may sound obvious, but previous experience managing warehouse operations over several positions or with increasing size, scope and responsibility at a single position, preferably in the E-Commerce industry
Education - a Bachelor’s degree required, an MBA is a plus (Any industry certifications and development are even more of a plus)
Someone who strives for operational perfection, but knows that it can never be reached, and understands the difference between work and results
